God is with you in the fire

Have you ever felt like giving up because you were stressed out and overwhelmed by circumstances you couldn’t control?

The truth is Satan wants us to spend our days frustrated, anxious, in fear and out of touch with God. And though it’s easy to focus on our circumstances, that never helps. Instead, what we really need to do is stop thinking about what’s wrong and fix our eyes on God, who’s in control, always with us, and always able to help us do whatever we need to d0.

Look with me at 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (AMPC). Here, the apostle Paul says, “We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed I every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair; we are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed.”
